Hey y'all! So happy to meet you! I am a true Southside Virginia girl raised in Lunenburg County. Although I appreciate growing up in the country, you'd be hard pressed to get me away from the conveniences of suburban life now! I am incredibly passionate about serving others. Luckily I am able to do that on a daily basis not only in real estate, but in mentoring and coaching. Whether encouraging others to be their best selves or guiding folks through sales processes, my greatest satisfaction comes from simply being able to help. I aspire to be a great friend, an outstanding mother, an amazing wife and a good soul who always strives to serve God and others.
I come from a long line of entrepreneurs, including 3 generations of real estate, so it's literally in my DNA. My maternal Grandfather started this family obsession over 80 years ago.
If I’m not prepping a house for sale, negotiating contracts or tackling our latest reno project, you can find me with “my people” - my best friend and husband of 17 years, Jason, our two awesome kiddos, Abby (16) & Grayson (13) and our very mischievous Black Lab, Jeter.
Hi, I’m Erin Walsh – I actually have five names so lots of people just shorten it all to “E.” Most days you can find me planning/working on/fixing some sort of DIY project around my house or trying to keep up with my three daughters, which means driving them to their various sporting events and practices! I am extremely fortunate that my DIY “hobby” has become a passion that has led to a second career. Being in real estate for so many years has kept me in the know for local trends and new ideas as well as learning the ins and outs of home updates. It’s amazing what you can learn when you attend almost 100 home inspections!
I truly enjoy working with people during their house-hunting journey. I am lucky to be able to have the skills and area expertise to help them find “Home.” As a realtor, I have been recognized as a Top Producer under 40 at Keller Williams and the SMT has been the #1 Team of the Year for Keller Williams Midlothian three times. Co-founding Black Dog Renovations has me looking forward to delivering more amazing updated homes, with the help of some of my favorite local contractors, to the Midlothian market.
When I’m not working on home improvement or real estate, you will find me hanging out with my amazing husband, watching him cook (I know my limits), going on “family field trips” around Virginia, spending time with friends and all of our kids, or training for my next obstacle course race. Oh yeah, I’m a touch on the competitive side. Nice to meet you!
Hi there, I'm Susan Farmer. Most days of the week I'm working at my desk at my home in Midlothian with a sweatshirt on every season of the year...even summer! I'm a mother to 3 adorable boys: Bowen, Henry Mc & Grey (4 if you count our beloved labrador retriever, Lincoln), wife to my uber handsome husband, Reid.
I love serving the world by being there for others and creating relationships with people that bring joy, happiness, support, laughter and strength when needed. I am most passionate about my family, friends and doing my best for the people in my life both personally and professionally. OH, and the Virginia Tech Hokies!! ;)
All through high school and college when I would try to think of what I wanted to "be" when I grew up, one thing was for certain - I wanted to work with people, engage with them and provide exceptional service by utilizing my ability to develop a relationship. I thrive on human interaction and pride myself on being able to understand and relate most personalities.
Fun Fact about me: I love to dance, not well but fiercely for sure.
Not so Fun Fact about me: I'm terrified of flying. This is something I'm trying to work on so if you have any suggestion...please let me know!!
Hi everyone! I’m Laura East. I’m a country girl – born and raised in western Goochland County - who will never turn down a great red wine, is a lotta bit Type A, and believes that kindness and surrounding yourself with the best people are the keys to a happy life.
My home these days is Powhatan, VA where I spend most of my time on my screened porch with my laptop open, sweats on, coffee (although usually cold) on the table, and my toddler sidekick by my side. I consider myself the luckiest girl in the world to be doing a “job” (if you want to call it that) that I am all in for every day and working with inspiring women that keep me laughing and are some of the best friends a girl could ask for.
I’m the behind-the-scenes of our operation, so many of our clients don’t get to know me personally (so HEY!), but I take full pride in helping our team grow and being the idea girl. I’m also the writer of all the words and the only one who keeps a schedule, so they need me. HA!
Aside from work, I’m a HUGE family girl. I’m married to my best friend from high school who is hands down my favorite human in the world, I’m known as Mommy to three beautiful, fun, and always entertaining girls and I have a big extended family who all live right here in RVA.
On weekends you can find me making breakfast while having a full-on country music jam session (90s country is my go-to), finding new local spots to try, or demo-ing something around the house.
I'm Emily Maltby! Most people call me Em. Emily if it's formal - but let's face it, I'm not a formal type of girl. Most days you can find me sitting at the kitchen island drinking a (few) cups of Kauai (Hawaiian) coffee, listening to Today's Country Radio on Pandora while researching organizing ideas, reading blog posts and planning out my day.
I'm pretty type A. People who know me well know how neat and clean I like things. I was that college kid that made her bed every single day.
I am a big family girl. While my immediate family is small, I come from a big Catholic family. We are very close and talk often and visit each other as much as we can.
I also love to cook. One of my favorite things is trying to create a delicious recipe just out of the ingredients I have in the fridge and pantry. I get a lot of my ideas from Amanda Frederickson on Instagram! Go check her out! You can thank me later :)
Swimming was my very first love! I swam kindergarten through college. My sister was also a swimmer, so it was something fun we did together growing up.
I also really love to help people. I know that sounds cliche, but it's true! My passion is helping people crawl out from under their unorganized messes and shame - and teaching them a method that truly works and creates a feeling of happiness in their homes and hearts. Working with the home organization side of our business, Organized Chaos, I am beyond lucky and excited to do this every.single.day.
